He is survived by: his wife Martha Louise Lucas Benamati; his children, Netta Benamati, Joseph Benamati II (Janet), Marcia Amero (James) and William Benamati (Melissa); his son-in-law Douglass Fitzsimmons; and his siblings, Judith Ann Kokolis and Melvin Benamati.
