He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Simon Solar and Pauline (Miskech); his brothers, Simon Solar of Arnold, Al Solar, Tarentum, William Solar, Kinna and Sweden; his daughter Sarah Johnson; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Johnson of Brunswick.
Due to the pandemic, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Homer City Library, or simply observe a Lenten meal in his memory.
