He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Rice and Annie Rice (Blystone); his wife Dorothy Rice (Engle); his great grandchild Angel Bocz; and his siblings, Pete, Twila, Dorothy, Edna and Mary.
He is survived by: his pet Harley; his children, Scott Rice (Lek) of Indiana, Denise Getty (Ken) of Homer City and Bruce Rice (Candi) of Indiana; his grandchildren, Melissa Bocz (David) of Lucernemines, Erin Rice-Petrillo (Joseph) of Indiana, Briana Abel (Joseph) of Homer City, Nicole Dunmire (Daryl) of Indiana and Brett Muir of Indiana; his great grandchildren, Ian, Peyton Bocz, Eliza, Penny Petrillo and Alec Dunmire; and his sister Virginia Bell of Homer City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jim also made many charitable contributions to St. Jude's Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, the United States Humane Society, and many more.
