She was predeceased by: her parents, George Franklin and Bertha Kathryn Young (Brode); and her husband Dr. Ralph R. Brown. She is survived by: her children, Betsy Brown, Carol Beall (Jeff), Cindy Andrie (Rich), John Brown (Cindy) and Kenwood; her grandchildren, Christopher Mrozowski, Kathryn Mrozowski, Joshua Brown, Andrew Brown (Samantha), Jeremy Brown, Joseph Andrie (Stephanie), Julie Andrie (Jordan Alsop), Jason Beall, Emily Fradette (Sam) and George Brown; her great grandchildren, Owen, Isaac, Easton, Emma Brown, Cameron and Wren Andrie; and her brothers, George Young (Elsie) of Ocean View, DE and William Young (Judy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be make to the Homer City Library, where Doris volunteered, Hope Lutheran Church, Homer City, Citizens Ambulance of Indiana County, or a charity of one's choice.
