He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Sr. Hohenwarter and Kathryn Hohenwarter; his son Michael D. Hohenwarter; his stepson Donald J. Kahl, Jr.; and his brother Richard L. Hohenwarter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Hohenwarter; and his stepchildren, Lisa M. Miller (David) and Wayne P. Kahl. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
