He was predeceased by: his parents, David Alwine and Edith Alwine (Thomas); his daughter Pauline; and his brothers, Merle, Clair, Dean, Sanford, Carl and Daryl.
He is survived by: his wife Reta Alwine (Shetler); his sons, Randy Alwine (Diana) and Bryan Alwine (Kelly); his grandchildren, Beth (Sean), Chris (Megan), Traci Marie (Chris), Colleen (Mike), Sheena (Tom), Cheyenne (Adam) and Sierra; and his sister Dorcas Zook. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
