He is survived by: his children, Daniel P. McClarren, Michael J. (Robin) and Katherine D. Gruss; his grandchildren, Amanda Bates (Nathan), Angela Cruz (Mark), Courtney Michelle McClarren and Stephanie C. Zehner (Nathan); and his great grandchildren, Eli, Mai and Gracelynn.
