He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Benner and Shirley M. Benner (Bowmaster); his grandson Jaxon Lowery; and his sister Cathy Foor. He is survived by: his wife Doris Richardson; his children, Erin Morrow (Mike), Shirley Wienke (Megan), Sharell Green (Russel), Shanea Benner, Jessica Lowery, Aaila Jones, Shawn Benner II (Morgan), Justin Lowery (Kat) and Cody Smith; his siblings, Denise Kephart, Carol Benner, Robin Benner, Susan Richardson and Jim; his nephew Ron Wombacher (Nikki); and his friend Allen Eger. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. (422 N Juniata St, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648).
