He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Edward Long and Grace H. Long (Nothnagle); his siblings, Homer, Jean Pruyn and Peggy Brubaker; and his nephew Todd Long.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley J. Helsel; and his sister Ann Harr (Terry) of Claysburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
