In loving memory of Mary M. Metris of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on November 17, 2024 at the age of 92. Mary leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. As we bid Mary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Woods and Anna Woods (Helsel); and her husband Charles Metris. She is survived by: her daughters, Michele "Shelley" A. Reilly and Martina A. Johnson; her grandchildren, James Johnson and Bree Reilly; and her siblings, Sally Janerio and John Woods (Pat).
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Roman Catholic Church (312 Clark St, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the James E. Van Zander VA Medical Center: 2907 Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Second Floor, Altoona, PA 16602.
