He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil M. Wertz and Helen E. Wertz (Snowberger); his wife Dorothy M. Martin; his son Timothy; and his brother Donald L..

He is survived by: his children, Genee Knab (Dave) of Hollidaysburg, Lynette Sollenberger (Earl) of Curryville and Kenneth H. Jr. (Robin) of West Loop; and his brother Robert E. of Hollidaysburg. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
