He was predeceased by: his parents, James Q. Vreeland and Laura Vreeland (Barrus); and his sister Carol Coney. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Meighan; his children, Tracy Flynn (Rusty) of Duncansville and Jay (Beth) of Greensburg; and his grandchildren, Brian, Brady Flynn, Jake and Sophie Vreeland.
