He was predeceased by: his father David G. Mattern; and his brother Jason. He is survived by: his mother Theresa Mattern (Stoops); his siblings, Tammy E. Moyer (Richard), John and Paul (Jamie); his nieces and nephews, Julia, Cierra, Sydney, Jason of Joseph, AJ, John David and Raiden; and his close friend Dana Weber.
