He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward W. Irwin and Jean Hope Irwin. He is survived by: his sister Rebecca Hook (James M.) of East Fallowfield, PA; and his sister-in-law Pamela Irwin of Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews, 44 great nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church (1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, PA 19365). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
