He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bonawitz and Mary Bonawitz; his wife Dorothy Bonawitz; his son Tony Bonawitz; and his brother Harry Bonawitz.

He is survived by: his children, Trudy Beck (Dave) and Randy Bonawitz (Pat); and his stepsons, Robert Farling (Julie) and George Forney (Lori). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
