He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Mead and Mildred Hewitt Mead; his son Gary Mead; and his brothers, Gayle Mead, Earl Mead and William Mead.
He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Mead; his daughter Janet White (David White) of Gettysburg; and his sisters, Carol Richmond of Dicksonburg and Jeannette Baird of Meadville. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
