He was predeceased by: his parents, Verna A. Reiner and Ernest H. Reiner; and his brother David Reiner. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Reiner (Stephanie), Todd Reiner (Shelly), Eric Reiner (Christine) and Michael Reiner (Betsy); and his siblings, Carl Reiner, Donna Snyder and Christie Klinger. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
