He was predeceased by: his parents, George Benka and Susan Benka (Chalpka); and his parents-in-law, Peter and Dorothy Carine. He is survived by: his wife Jane Benka (Carine); his son Jonathan Benka (Emily) of Youngstown, OH; his stepson Robert Griffith; his brother Ronald Benka (Elaine) of Warren, OH; his sisters-in-law, Meredith Star (Ken) of Salem, OR, Holly Bianco (Tony) and Amy Wood (David); and his nieces and nephews, Aaron Star, Annalice, Camille Bianco, Lauren, Emily, Peter Wood, Joseph and Scott Benka.
