It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John S. Pumphrey Sr. of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pumphrey and Frances Frank (Mowery); his children, Charlene Pumphrey, Dawnell Pumphrey Rauber and James A. Pumphrey; his sister Gaynell Sharp; and his wife Mildred M. Pumphrey (McAdams).
He is survived by: his children, John "Jack" S. Pumphrey, Jr. (Janet) of Canfield, OH, Sherry L. Deiger (Bill), Dennis A. Pumphrey of Bridgewater Corners, VT and Joseph M. Pumphrey. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the J. Bradley McGonigle F. H. & Crematory, Inc. - Sharon (1090 E State St, Sharon, PA 16146). A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
