He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Walter and Laura Mae Newby (Harden); his siblings, William W., Harvey L., Larry D. Newby, Richetta Thomas, Fannie M. Chester, Brenda J. Reno, Geneva and Suedale Newby; and his parents-in-law, Edith Louise Newby, Dorothy Newby, Robert Smith and James Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Flora L. Farrow; his children, Minister Ira D. Newby of Raleigh, Apostle Sonja D. Theodore (Jason) of Raleigh, Henry E. Newby, Jr. (Ann), David L. Newby (Keisha) of Hermitage and Larry Miller (Linda) of Huntsville; his siblings, Dorothy L. Chester of Sharon and Bobby B. Newby of Hermitage; and his sisters-in-law, Johnnie K. Newby, Patricia Newby and Elsie Cook. He is also survived by his extended family, Godchildren, and many friends.
