It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Gabonay of Herminie, Pennsylvania, born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Futscher and Florence Futscher (Morvetz); her sister Shirley Rogachesky (Tom); and her nephew Barry Rogachesky. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Gabonay (Gene); her children, Jeffrey Gabonay (Maria) of North Huntingdon and Linda Foster (Scott) of Herminie; her grandchildren, Karissa Kocerka (Jack), Sarah Pytlak (Chris Naples), Jason, Adam Gabonay and Zachary Foster; her great grandchildren, Hannah and Luke Kocerka; and her siblings-in-law, Donald Gramlich (Linda) and Diane Florek (Rod). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Edward Church, 120 St. Edward Lane, Herminie, PA 15637, in memory of Janet.
