Geo Long wrote a sympathy message

“I am proud to say that Wally was a great friend of mine. I worked with him for many years at Quebecor printing. He was a fellow musician, a kind man, and had a heart of gold. He loved his family , was as good friend as a man could have. HE ALWAYS was there for me in troubled times , and I tried to do the same. He had a GREAT sense of humor ! Nobody did a better imitation of the stooges "Curly" like Wally ! I will miss you my friend. Go get your reward for a job well done. Rest easy my friend.”
