She was predeceased by: her mother Shirley Fisher; and her brother Nicholas J. Fisher. She is survived by: her father John Fisher, Sr. of Hazleton; her husband Patrick Shala; her daughters, Nicole and Kimberly; the father of her children William Greising; her brothers, John Jr. and David Fisher; and her pet Rocky.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, private services will be held in the best interest of Shirley's family.
