It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Kathryn (Uplinger-Smith) Himes (Hawthorn, Pennsylvania), born in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Richard Smith and Adaline McDonald Smith; her brother Rick Smith; and her nephew Michael Smail. She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Himes, Jr. (Amy) of Hawthorn and Dave Himes of Cottage Hill; her siblings, Bob Smith of Erie, Marty McClaine (Butch), Deb Fleming (Henry) of Clarion and Dot Renninger of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren, Cory Mumford (Brittani) of Smicksburg, Kayla Himes (Ryan Hawk) of New Bethlehem, Megan of Hawthorn and Abby Himes of Hawthorn; and her great grandchildren, Paisley, Piper and Preslee Mumford. She is also survived by her husband, children, siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private service will be held with immediate family, officiated by Preacher John Kerr of the Roseville Church of Christ.
