He is survived by: his wife Lynn Russell of Hawthorn; his son Jerome Russell Heffner (Morgan) of Springfield; his grandson Sean Morgan Heffner; his sister Ann Hetrick of Distant; his nieces and nephews, James Alexander, Robert Alexander, Mira Alexander, Aedan Russell, Mackenzie Russell, Sarah Baughman and Staci Dinger; and his great-niece Samantha Toy.
