We are sad to announce that on August 14, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Gerald E. Doherty of Hawley, Pennsylvania, born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Doherty and Ona M. Watson Doherty; and his siblings, John, Joseph, James, Paul, William, Michael, Richard, Patrick, Winifred Vaverchak, Madeline Vaverchak, Marilyn Dikeman, Grace VanSickle, Maureen, Agnes, Jean and Joan.

He is survived by: his wife Eileen Billard; his daughter Lisa Klein (Rob) of Colchester, CT; his siblings, Charles Doherty (Emilia) of Aurora, CO, Ona Rechner of Jackson, NJ and Karen Batten (Thomas) of Honesdale; his grandson Joshua Klein (Bonnie); and his great grandchildren, Liliana, Jeramey Klein (Heather Thompson), Mariah Smigiel (Jordan) and Megan Klein.

All attending must wear masks and guests are asked to be brief when paying their respects to maintain social distancing.
