It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Wayne Carter of Hawley, Pennsylvania, born in Dillon, South Carolina, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dry and Gladys Dry (Blackwell); and his wife Carolyn "Cookie" Smyth. He is survived by: his daughter Mellissa Carter of Morrisville, PA; his stepson Bryan Smyth (Shannon) of Lakeville; his former wife Kathleen M. Kavanaugh; and his siblings, Diane Geyer of Sunrise, FL and William Dry of Louisiana. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
