He was predeceased by: his wife Lenore Smith; his parents, Francis X. Zeglen and Lucille Zywicki Zeglen; and his siblings, Richard Zeglen and Eugenia Goodridge.
He is survived by: his pets, Garth and Blitzen; his children, Kurt Zeglen (Deborah), Barry Zeglen (Brenda), Lance Zeglen, Lisa Roegner (James) and Karen Bates; and his grandchildren, Colin Zeglen (Jessica), Rachel Zeglen, Natalie Zeglen, Shane Roegner (Jacqueline Kromko), Courtney Roegner, Heidi Roegner, Scott Bates and Keith Bates.
