She was predeceased by: her husband Collins Hay; her parents, Margaret Hemminger (Peg) and Graham Hemminger (Skip); and her sister Patsy Raudenbush. She is survived by: her children, Ellen Gilbert (Thomas) and Nicholas Hay (Alana Lynch). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
