She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustine J. Matson and Susan V. Matson; and her sister Joanne Brunelli. She is survived by: her son Phillip Newman; her granddaughter Hailey Newman Galloway; and her siblings, Margaret Ludwig (late Richard), Thomas A. Welding, Susan Weir (Joseph), Augustine Matson (Barbara) and Rosemary Welding.
