She was predeceased by: her parents, Arsenio Maldonado and Juanita Arceo-Diaz; and her sisters, Yolanda, Ruth and Eloise.
She is survived by: her husband Gerhard Spiegler; her children, Karin Ethel, Eric John and Mark Dieter Spiegler; and her granddaughters, Sarah Maldonado Gordon and Emma Cohen Gordon. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
