He is survived by: his wife Karen Grace Kernen (Heacock); his pets, German Shepherds Max, Lance, Cooper, Heathcliff, Bandit and Whiskers; his sons, Westley Robert Kernen of Hatfield, PA and Ashley Robert Kernen (Jessica) of Philadelphia, PA; his stepson Steven Richard Buck of Hatfield, PA; his grandson Luca Ash Kernen of Philadelphia, PA; his siblings, William Kernen (Carol Tomaski) of Gap, PA, Catherine Pickering of Enola, PA and Jenny Kernen of Claymont, DE; and his brother-in-law Fred Safstrom of Wichita, KS..
