He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Murphy and Rose Murphy; and his brother Bernard "Bern" Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Jerry" Murphy (Langiewicz); his children, JoAnne M. DelVecchio of Lambertville, NJ and Joseph Murphy (Prudence) of Lansdale; his grandchildren, Jillian Daley, Collin Murphy and Nina Daley; his sisters, Rosemary Melnick (Scott) of Ambler and Patricia Murphy of Lansdale; and his sister-in-law Dorothy "Dot" Bennett of Hatfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Joe's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
