He was predeceased by: his parents, Miriam Metz and Herbert H. Metz, Sr.; his former wife Mildred Metz; and his sister Molly Edwards. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Metz, Julia Rank and Andrew Metz; his brother William Metz; and his stepchildren, Rick Chunko, Kerry Chunko, Brian Chunko, Brent Chunko and David Erman. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
