She was predeceased by: her husband John Downey; her parents, Ellsworth Whiteman and Lydia Whiteman (Viall); her sons, William C. Downey and John J. Downey; her grandson Ryan Downey; and her siblings, Edward, Walter, Ellsworth, Ralph, Franklin, Elizabeth and Laura.
She is survived by: her daughter Helen L. Lund (Al) of Hatfield; her grandsons, Michael and Brandon; her brother William Whiteman of Hatfield; and her sister-in-law Sue Bishop Fox of Harleysville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
