She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John E. Hawes and Eileen Hawes (Scanlon); her children, Christine Chabala (Robert Hegadus), Richard J. DeLong, Jr. (Sharon), Cynthia Checkowski and Stephen M. DeLong (Mary Ellen); her grandchildren, Jacqueline Diedrick (Bradley), Ryan Walter (Nicole), Kristen Bowman (Daniel), Sara DeLong (Thomas Mulligan), Shannon Connolly (Timothy), Brittany Chabala, James Checkowski, Eric Checkowski and Michael Checkowski; her great grandchildren, Kirra, Natalee, Aiden, Lucas and Emily; and her brother James Hawes.
