He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Rose Markey (Chavis); his parents, Owen C. Markey, Sr. and Lillian Markey (Wood); and his siblings, Owen C. Markey, Jr. and Margaret Gest.
He is survived by: his sons, Rev. David J. Markey, Jr. (Wendy) of Souderton, PA and James Markey (Lori) of Skippack, PA; his grandchildren, Jessica Locklear (Christian), Julia Markey, Nickolas Markey and Rachel Markey; and his sister Marianne MacDonald.
