He was predeceased by: his wife Violet; and his parents, Frank Jacobs and Sarah Jacobs (Grimes). He is survived by: his children, Michael Jacobs (Karen), Pamela McAuliff (Steven) and Donald Jacobs; his grandchildren, Christopher Jacobs (Allison), Sarah Jacobs, Paul Jacobs and Maisy Jacobs; and his great grandchild Avery Jacobs.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made in Clete's memory to the National Heart Foundation.
