With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Rose Markey of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, born in Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on December 11, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise and Henry Chavis, Sr.; and her siblings, Henry Chavis, Jr., Shirley Chavis and Ted Chavis.

She is survived by: her husband David J. Markey, Sr.; her sons, Rev. David J. Markey, Jr. (Wendy) of Souderton, PA and James Markey (Lori) of Skippack, PA; her grandchildren, Jessica Locklear (Christian), Julia Markey, Nickolas Markey and Rachel Markey; and her siblings, Huey, Kenneth Chavis, Cassie Lowry, Ella Evans and Linda Chavis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carolyn's memory to the Good News Church Memorial Fund, 424 Juniper Street, Quakertown, PA 18951.
