It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of José Emilio Mercado of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raul Mercado Sr. and Marta Hilda Figueroa Mercado; and his sister Marta D. Willams. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth R. Mercado (Cintron); his children, Justin M. Mercado, Angelica N. Rosado (Mercado) and Christopher E. Mercado; his grandchildren, Kayla J. Mercado, Arianna E. Velez and Giuliana L. Gomez; and his brothers, Raul Mercado, Jr., Michael Mercado and George Mercado.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (3300 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gethsemane Cemetery (3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605).
