He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmella Sacchetta and Frank Sacchetta; his brother Anthony Sacchetta; and his siblings-in-law, Eileen Schick (Chuck) and James Whalen.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Sacchetta (Whalen); his children, James S. Sacchetta Jr. (Dianne), Thomas F. Sacchetta (Susan), Barbara A. Striano (Chris), Maribeth E. Magarity (Joseph) and Marc T. Sacchetta; his brother Francis Sacchetta (Irene); and his sister-in-law Joan Ditommaso (Saverio). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
