He was predeceased by: his wife Mary C. Straup; his parents, Charles H. Straup and Patricia E. Straup; his son Chris Straup; and his brother Larry Straup.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Shannon Straup of Pennsburg; his stepchildren, Connie Snedeker (Robert) of Chalfont and Michael Rogers (Denise) of Hatboro; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Sarah Straup and Mark Rogers.
