He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; his sister Dorothy Kovach; his nieces, Rosemary Laux and Katherine Pristak; and his great-nephew Terrance Laux.

He is survived by: his niece Marjorie A. Kozub; and his nephew John B. Kovach. He is also survived by nine great-nieces; one great-nephew; as well as great-great-nieces.
