It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Kay Cowden of Hartstown, Pennsylvania, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Myers and Jeannette Himmelwright Myers; her husband Ward Marvin Cowden; and her daughter Mary Beth Cowden. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Dempsey (Vance) of Virginia and David Cowden (Suzanne) of Hartstown; her grandchildren, Amber Erb, Thomas Dempsey, Monica Taylor, Emerald, Elyssa Mitchell, Michelle "Mikey" Allen and Robert Cowden; her great grandchildren, Shane, Asia, Logan, Makayla, Winton, Percy, Cayleb, Madelynn and Evelynn; and her sisters, Janet Williams of Carlisle and Debra Deno (Dennis) of Virginia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
