He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Haverstick (Jon) of Butler, Steve J. Pernick (Trisha) of Murrysville and Mark Pernick (Victoria) of Level Green; and his grandchildren, Tess Haverstick, Mark (Paige), Sophia, Jason Pernick, Madison Bigley, Steve W. and Caroline Pernick. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
