He was predeceased by: his father James Robert Gerken; his wife Bonnie Sue; and his brother Robert Michael Gerken. He is survived by: his mother Janet Gerken (O'Brien); and his siblings, Cheryl Ann Coups (late Robert), Nancy Jane Zegar (Robert), James Leo Gerken (Mary Ann) and Brian Anthony Gerken (Stephanie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
