He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kern and Nola Kern; and his brother Guy Kern. He is survived by: his wife Marge Kern; his sons, Christopher Kern of Wernersville, John Kern (Allison) of Laurel, MD and Wayne Kern of Baltimore, MD; his grandchildren, Sarah, Ellie Alexander of Wernersville, PA, Lydia Kern, John Michael, Katrina and Lelina Kern of Laurel, MD; and his brother Gerald Kern (Eileen) of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
