He is survived by: his children, Linda Snow (Dan), Lisa Scott (Shane) and Ward Shoemaker, Jr. (Melissa); and his siblings, Shirley Whetzel and Delmar Shoemaker Sr.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
