He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Bettinger and Nora Bettinger; his grandson Bryan Bettinger; and his brothers, Kenneth Bettinger and Junior Bettinger.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Bettinger; his children, Ronda Bowerman (Roy), Rick Bettinger (Nancy) and Scott Bettinger (Judy); his grandchildren, Roy, Tim, Janelle, Krista, Kelli Dan and Holly; and his brother Gary Bettinger (Barbara). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
