He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Shope and Elma Shope; and his wife Patricia Shope. He is survived by: his children, Jeanne M. Ptaszenski, Douglas S. Shope and Robert C. Shope, Jr.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
